Toa Payoh Seu Teck Sean Tong runs several key charity programs.  One of which is the Bursary program which was incepted in 2019.  Over the years, working directly with schools, we have been disbursing bursaries annually to Primary and Secondary school students.  

In 2023, we have expanded our bursary program to include students from post-secondary education institutions (PSEI) such as ITE, Junior Colleges and Polytechnics.  In 2024, we have further expanded our bursary program to include undergraduate degrees from local based universities. Some of the key aspects of our Merit Bursary include:

Bursary Criteria

  • Open for Singaporeans or PR only, studying at Junior College, Polytechnic, ITE or undergraduate degrees at local based universities.
  • Applicant’s gross monthly household income must not exceed S$4,000 or gross monthly household per capita income must not exceed S$1,000.
  • Applicants must be of good conduct and have satisfactory academic results.
  • Only a maximum of 1 applicant per household.
  • Applicant is required to volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours at Toa Payoh Seu Teck Sean Tong’s charity programs, within 9 months of receiving the bursary.

Quantum of Award

The bursary quantum is S$800 to each successful Junior College, Polytechnic or ITE applicant and S$1,000 for each university undergraduate applicant.
